ENCHANTED FOREST is another Bizarre Ball, the function where we ask you to bring elements of Bizarre into every category. Be imaginative, strange, and unforgettable!
Have you never walked a ball before?
Don’t be afraid! Beginners are welcome, this is your moment. Step into the forest and take the runway.
To support you, this post includes full category descriptions and serves as a lookbook: a visual guide to what each category is asking for, meant to inspire your interpretation. Use the lookbook as a tool if you need it, let it spark something if it moves you. But most importantly, bring your own imagination to life.
WHAT THE JUDGES ARE LOOKING FOR AT A BIZARRE BALL:
Participants should dress according to the category in which they are competing and are expected to deliver what the description calls for (costumes, effects, appearance, and attitude). To get your 10s, you must show the basic elements of said category, the effect, and anything else asked for in the description. If you do not meet the category requirements, it’s a chop!
Like any ball, effects *can* be simple. But the more your effect is extravagant, and the more your walk brings what is being asked for, the more you will GAG the judges… and bring the ball to life!
Are you worried? Don’t be! There are many ways to capture what is being asked for: colours, textures, sizes, shapes, and movement. The internet is your friend! A glue gun is your friend! And speaking of friends… don’t be afraid to ask for help.

Tonight, we enter the Enchanted Forest, a realm where magic fills the air and ancient forces watch from between the trees. Butterflies drift through glowing clearings, crystals shimmer beneath tangled roots, and creatures of myth move quietly through the mist. Something ancient moves between the branches, and every path holds the promise of adventure.
Welcome to a forest where creatures of legend roam, whispers travel through the woods, and wonder lingers in every shadow. Because in this forest, the bizarre is sacred.
Legendary Mother Moohk Louboutin and Skittellz Mulan welcome you to Bizarre Kin’s Enchanted Forest: A Kiki Ball.
Step carefully. The forest is alive.

Black Liberation #4, Toronto ON
Bizarre - The Trash Wars of Halifax
“Halifax was once home to thriving Black communities, many formed by those who had escaped slavery. The city later crushed these communities’ spirits by turning their neighborhoods into dumping grounds for the city’s trash... literally. Over time, these vibrant areas were reduced to slums.
Show us how you turn trash into treasure by incorporating unconventional materials, recycled goods, or discarded items into a stunning, fashionable masterpiece. Creativity, transformation, and craftsmanship will reign supreme.”
Thank you so much @mrmapleleaf , an opportunity to walk an event like this is such an honour and experience!
Thank you to my family, the coven / Canadian Chapter of the House of Miyake Mugler. Y’all are so beautiful, so talented, and dependable! Unstoppable! And my parents! @tamar.carter1 & Twysted, you are incomparable in terms of builders. Im so proud to stand beside you all.

I love & appreciate you all so much. @skit_tellz and @wontloversrevoltnow it is always an honour to share the floor with you!

Bulabog! Bizarre Kiki Ball presents BIZARRE SPOTLIGHT featuring interviews from Bizarre walkers from all over the world⚠️
THE LEGENDARY BIZARRE, MOOHK (CANADA)
• When did you first walk the category Bizarre?
The first ball I walked was in 2017 called In Deep, Montreal!
• Why did you first walk Bizarre?
I walked Bizarre because it called to me. I’m a freak through and through so when I learned about the Bizarre category, I knew I was made for it!
• Any other Bizarre walker that you look up to?
I look up to all Bizarre walkers. I truly do! I look up to our pioneers so much and I love how Maurice is still walking! Right now, though, I would say I mostly look up to Nene Madness. He’s so talented, and has a heart of gold. I’m also such a fan of Klaude right now too, she’s such a wizard!!
• What do you think is the importance of Bizarre in modern ballroom culture?
I think Bizarre is so important in keeping the imagination alive in ballroom! Ballroom is an underground scene, and I think Bizarre is one aspect that could only ever be at the fringes of culture because it’s so wild & weird.
• What would be your advice to someone who would be walking Bizarre for the first time?
Embrace all the wonderful weirdness that they are! It takes a lot of bravery to walk any category, so you should feel proud of yourself for putting yourself out there!
