Three years ago, transferring to Winston-Salem State University and joining the women’s basketball team became one of the best decisions I could have made.
Although my senior season didn’t go as planned because of injury, I’m beyond grateful to have still been part of such a historic run. Being able to help win the first Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championship in program history — something we dreamed of from the moment we stepped on campus — is something I’ll always cherish. God’s plan is always greater, and I’m thankful for every lesson this game has taught me.
Thank you to my coaches for believing in me and pushing me to grow, to my teammates for the memories and battles we shared, and to my family for being my constant support through it all. Forever grateful for these 3 years and everything this program has given me.
