For lovers of our original, this new matcha offers a more decadent matcha flavor followed by a gentle sweetness and pleasant bitterness. This is @moochaamatcha Uji Matcha no. 7 and this one's SUCH a good one!! While the packaging is beautiful, I also want to shout out the whole rebrand and blossom of the moochamatcha brand! Everything is beautiful and so much care was put into the quality of the matcha/hojicha. Upon opening, the Uji matcha no. 7 hit me with a beautiful bright green with a very sweet, oceanic scent. When whisking with water, a slightly nutty and vegetable (in a delicious way) flavor was brought out. There are notes of slight umami, sweetness, and a light nuttiness. This matcha is described to have notes if milk chocolate and sweet pistachio which feels so spot on! I tastes a lot of the pistachio flavor in the finish/after taste of the matcha which I enjoyed so much! As usucha, this was so delicious and easy to drink, and gave me such comfy broth vibes with no bitterness or astringency at all. This matcha is definitely on the lighter side, so with milk it was quite mild, but you are still able to taste the flavor of the matcha. Overall, really enjoyed this matcha!
