Monteith Construction is expanding into Jacksonville, Florida, with a new office opening in mid-2026, marking another step in continued growth across the Southeast.
This new office will strengthen our presence in Northeast Florida and enhance our ability to serve clients throughout the region. It reflects a continued commitment to strategic, sustainable growth in key Southeast markets.
The Jacksonville office will be led by Regional Vice President Matt Brittan, who will launch and oversee the new location while continuing to manage operations in the Myrtle Beach market. With extensive experience leading complex projects and building high-performing teams, he brings a relationship-driven approach that aligns with our long-standing culture and values.
The office will support clients across commercial, healthcare, hospitality, education, multifamily, aviation, and public sector markets.
Headquartered in Wilmington, North Carolina, the company is a 100% employee-owned firm with offices across the Carolinas and the Southeast.

After months of sitework, our building addition at the Lucy Daniels Center is now rapidly taking shape above ground. With footings and foundation walls complete, construction has reached a major milestone. The main floor framing is already halfway finished, revealing the building’s form and scale for the first time.

Each year, volunteers come together to complete dozens of projects across the community—making it the largest single-day volunteer service event in New Hanover County!

Construction is moving quickly on the Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial in Myrtle Beach, and the vision is starting to come to life.
Just three months in, concrete has been poured, seating walls are in place, and the space is beginning to take shape. Soon, each seating block will feature military branch seals, while the memorial wall will tell its story through bronze inscriptions and a mural backdrop.
Main construction is expected to wrap by late spring, with sculptural elements arriving this fall.
