Mother’s Day isn’t easy for many. Moms are messy. Kids are messy. Some moms are gone + others are estranged. Holidays can be hard, but they can also be what you make them. I’m so damn grateful both my mother + I have put in a lot work + earnest care into our relationship over the past few years. We tended to old wounds + have both been brave in growing through it. I feel incredibly fortunate that we have found our way in being closer + closer as we both get older. If you know my mom, you know that she’s a spitfire, star-power badass.
