Finally graduated after 2+3 years in uni✨
To those I love, and who love me, but couldn’t be with me today. I’m taking you here with me through this outfit.
My twin
@rameres10 once said to me “You always do things with meaning and intention.” Well, I think so too😄
“Can you find me lilac Saket silk for my graduation dress?”
I said this to my aunties, though they’d think I was joking. But the next day, they drove around the city looking for it.
Saket silk is a handmade silk with patterns unique to my hometown, Roi Et, Thailand. And it had to be purple, the representative colour of my hometown.
One of my high school besties once dreamed of becoming a designer. They were always dressing me up and doing my makeup, and of course, I would run away every time. Now that we’ve all grown up, I was like, “Do you want to help me design my graduation outfit?”
@not.a.typical.game thank you for letting me carry a part of your dream with me too.
This outfit was made from the fabric of the place I come from, designed by the people I love and who love me, and blessed by my beloved grandparents.
An uncle who lives across from my house once said to my grandma,
“I always thought she would go far, but she’s gone even further than I imagined.”
I never knew I’d come this far too🥹 But no matter how far I go, I will always carry my roots with me. And I’m so proud of where I come from and who I am.
