Snack Theatre is an ambitiously delicious and fundamentally absurd interactive adventure production from the minds of Monkey Fox and the Portal Arts Society. A one of a kind show, if you know you know! This felt like a teenage dream come true 😭💘🤩🤘🏽 I’d be lying if I said I never practiced for this moment - all the countless hours in my early twenties singing along to @marinadiamandis led to this, my epic drag 4 kidz debut 🤩🤘🏽 Sometimes life really has a way of making things happen way better than I could ever imagine 🥹🫶🏼💖 Always loved & resonated with Marina’s dramatic flair (especially from her early days 🤘🏽) and so it was an easy choice. Screaming in the hallway, overstimulated from all the festivities… I heard her as I finished suiting up 🦸🏽‍♀️ Slowly I open the door, and she instantly stops, staring at me wide eyed, mouth hanging open, taking it all in. “Are you going to come watch me perform?” I ask, electric guitar slung over my shoulder. Her: “Do you have a drummer?!” Me: “No I don’t!” Her teacher suggests she can play drums by patting on her thighs. Great idea, I chime in. 🎪 Meet the Cast of Circurious 🎪 Well this is going to be a visual delight for sure! Look out for our roving performer, @monkeyfoxbutterfly who will be treating us to some amazing costumes and curiously whimsical entertainment! -- Monkey fox butterfly is a visionary creative engine with the full spectrum of entertainment at his disposal. He combines classical circus elements such as clowning, stilting and juggling with unique and otherwordly costumes and character play. His newest showcase is Snack Theatre, a one man dinner theatre adventure extravaganza, a wild ride that explores the boundaries between art and the artist.

E X I S T E N T I A L C R I S I S RePlay is a cyborg from the future who has travelled back in time to warn us of our impending fate- a world drowning in the waste of our careless consumption. They are here to teach us the 3 Re's of waste management: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Reducing consumption is by far the most important thing you can do to minimize waste creation. Are you buying new items that you will only use once or twice? Try asking friends/neighbours if you can borrow. Check in with yourself before making new purchases. Reduce single use waste by bringing your own to-go containers. Of course, it is almost impossible to completely cut out waste creation in the current world we live in, but every little bit of reduction helps slow the cycle from the start. We must also advocate for corporations to take accountability for the waste that they create in overabundance. The duty of reducing waste should not fall only on the individual consumer, but should be taken more seriously by corporations that carelessly produce more than people need. This costume was made with @monkeyfoxdrip for his roving stilt performance at @basscoastfest 2024.
