How can archives shape new ways of being together? Join us on April 16, 2026, for an inspiring conversation about the curatorial and artistic vision behind Disobedience Archive (Canopy for Broken Time). Curator Marco Scotini
@marco_scotini , artist Monica Narula
@monixa (Raqs Media Collective), and Yasmin Naderi Afschar
@yasminafschar , Co-Director of the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst, explore the intersection of art, activism, and collective memory.
✨ What’s the focus?
The Disobedience Archive
@disobedience_archive , initiated by Marco Scotini in 2005, is a dynamic video archive with over 100 films that document resistance, social struggles, and self-organization. In its latest iteration, the archive unfolds in dialogue with Raqs Media Collective
@raqsmediacollective , whose work investigates time as a force shaping our shared realities.
This conversation delves into how the presentation of the archive with the subtitle Canopy for Broken Time reimagines the archive as a spatial, temporal, and political proposal. At its heart is the Shamiana, a temporary architectural structure that invites assembly, shared attention, and collective reflection.
Why join us?
Together, we’ll reflect on curatorial methods, artistic collaboration, and the role of archives in responding to ecological uncertainty, political urgency, and societal fragmentation. How can practices of resistance inspire new temporalities, forms of care, and modes of living?
