A photographic exploration of longing, memory, and aesthetic resonance.
After spending the winter immersed in the vibrant urban landscapes of Asia, both
the model and the photographer returned with more than just memories — they
returned with a quiet ache. A longing for neon-lit nights, dense city textures, and the
layered visual language unique to Asian metropolises.
Echoes of Asia is a visual attempt to translate this yearning into familiar streets. Shot
in their home city, the images seek out moments, colors, and moods that evoke the
essence of distant places — not through imitation, but through resonance. It’s not
about recreating Shanghai, Hanoi, or Bangkok, but about capturing the fragments of
those places as they echo in unexpected corners of home.
The project blends nostalgia with reinterpretation, questioning the boundaries bet-
ween place and feeling. How much of a city is in its geography, and how much is in
what we carry with us?
