my favorite part of being a mama is all the little projects i get to do with and for these kids. giving old canvases new life, transforming spaces with simple materials, building, painting, rearranging, and doing all the little things to make their childhood feel magical in between the chaos and busy days. can’t wait to do this all again in nepal now that we are living here full time.
happy mother’s day to all you beautiful mamas. don’t know how we do what we do, but we do it. i’m in constant awe of all of us! ✨🪴🐣❤️🔥

truly enjoying finding meaning in everything i do.. making beautiful things, creating from the heart, laughing, dancing, and celebrating errrrry thing along the way. and it’s so nice to not sweat the small stuff. i guess that comes with age :)

🔊 sound on for the instructions the kids heard from SuperTrainer3000 😂
a few weeks ago, we celebrated our son Sage’s birthday, and organizing his Superhero Training Academy theme was so much fun! we set up missions and challenges for him and his friends—they jumped over “buildings,” crawled through webs, lifted “100 kg,” defeated villains, and rescued stuffed animals to bring them to a safe zone. watching their little determined faces as they tackled each challenge was the sweetest thing. after everyone completed their missions, we held a graduation ceremony where Sage and Noa handed out superhero certificates, capes, and masks. it was simple yet special, and i hope to create more parties like this in the future. if any of you have ideas for similar party themes in the future, they are very welcome!
this year, we also started a new tradition with gifts: we asked each family to bring a second-hand toy or make Sage a card. it felt more meaningful. knowing Sage is playing with toys that were loved by a friend and thoughtfully passed on to him feels so much more special than a last minute store purchase. it’s a tradition we want to continue for all our kids’ birthdays. we want to teach them that the joy of giving and celebrating comes from love and thoughtfulness—not from having more and more things.
sharing this in the hopes it might inspire someone else to try something similar. i think small things like these can make a difference growing up!
2024 brought its share of ups and downs but I am grateful for everything—the good and the hard. next year, i just want to do things a bit slower, enjoy the little things more, and stay open to whatever comes my way. the older i get the more i see magic in everything! ✨🤎🌙🪴
