A highlight of being in the Amazon for me was getting to sleep/wake in the jungle and spend so many nights exploring by flashlight. It reminded me a lot of diving, where you have a limited frame of vision and nearly infinite things to look for from micro to macro. You could stare at one section of a tree for an hour as more and more life slowly reveals itself from the camouflage. I’ve never experienced biodiversity on such an overwhelming scale as this, totally 🤯
