Static Channel is a Canadian audiovisual duo based in Berlin and Helsinki, shaping immersive experiences where sound and visuals ebb and flow in dynamic conversation. Composed of new media artist and synthesist Monika Hauck and electronic producer and bass guitarist Alex Iso, the duo navigates shifting sonic landscapes, pulling on threads from ambient, electronic, and experimental influences. Their work takes form through multidisciplinary installations and live performances, where improvisation and movement guide the ever-evolving dialogue between space, sound, and image. Each moment exposes unseen connections and unfiltered presence.

VJ monautomaton
Monika Hauck (aka monautomaton) has practiced as a VJ since 2018, creating immersive live visual worlds for performances, festivals, and events. Working with layered animation, found imagery, and real-time, audio-reactive systems, her practice centers on building abstract and surreal alternative realities shaped by sound, rhythm, and collective energy. Through live manipulation and interactive visuals, she invites audiences to get lost in shifting, atmospheric environments defined by light, motion, and perception.
