“From Where I Stood” - Analog collage, 2023.
This body of work navigates the fragile space between preservation and erasure. It suggests that the places we carry, those that shape us, often return in fragments. The collages become quiet acts of reconstruction, attempts to assemble experience from what remains legible, and to honour what has slipped beyond view.
One of the seven 61x46cm Claybord panels of my MA grad show piece “Into Fragments of Levitation”.
Two photographs from an old photo album I found at a flea market were scanned, blown up and printed multiple times on archival paper, using archival ink. The print was then hand cut and mounted on the panel to create a glitch-like effect that echoes the irretrievable, sometimes fractured nature of the photograph and memory.
