Two weeks left to apply 📣 MPAC’s 2027 Commissioning Program is now open for artists developing new work. The program supports artists to explore ideas, take creative risks, and shape work in collaboration with Monash University researchers. A space to experiment, draw on specialist knowledge, and develop ideas toward live performance, with access to our venues, technical resources and industry support. First Nations artists are strongly encouraged to apply. Applications close 29 May. ‘Beneath Our Feet’ is coming to @monashpac Family Fiesta, Forest 🌱 🗓️ 1–4 July, 2026 📍 MPAC invites children and their families to step into the forest and discover a world of free and affordable events. Explore ancient trees, fungi and the hidden micro-world beneath your feet, and see how everything in the forest is connected. Artists, theatre-makers, musicians and dancers team up with scientists to show you just how wondrous and essential these ecosystems are. 🪱 Beneath Our Feet is an immersive theatre show about earthy ecosystems for young people and their grown-ups, inviting them into a playful and participatory journey through the layers of soil. REHEARSALS ARE UNDERWAY! After years of development, the journey to the world premiere of STELLA – A New Australian Musical officially began this morning as the company gathered for our first day of rehearsals. Set Designer Nick Fry and Costume Designer Isla Shaw, alongside Director Julia Robertson, guided the cast and creative team through the visual world, storytelling language and artistic vision for this exciting new Australian work. We cannot wait to share this production with audiences this June at the world premiere season at the Alexander Theatre, Monash University.
