Transformation doesn’t happen overnight, but it sure can feel like it when consistency compounds.
There are still days I look in the mirror and don’t recognize the person staring back. Some might call it body dysmorphia, but I see it as meeting a new version of myself I’m still getting to know.

On April 25, 2016, at just 20 years old, my life changed forever when my dad decided it was time to leave his body and go ghost. Permanently.
Here are 10 hard truths I’ve learned since then:

🪦 Your grief has an “expiration date.”
🪦 Except… grief is actually a constant.
🪦 A piece of you will die with them.
🪦 Your relationships might be challenged.
🪦 Your perspective on life will change.
🪦 You will be misunderstood.
🪦 You may become spiritual or religious.
🪦 You can break unhealthy patterns.
🪦 It’s inevitable and will happen to you.
