Itās been 365 days since we got the keys to the Aladdin Hotel.
This icon, that has served Kansas City and Travelers for 100 years, deserves a facelift more than anyone. Itās been a whirlwind of a year, and canāt believe weāve received so much support on this project. Thank you Kansas City!
Canāt wait to see what the next year bringsš

Kansas City is about to get TWO new rooftop bars⦠and honestly, weāve been overdue for more rooftop spots for a while. šøš
Both projects are coming from local developer Zach Molzer and partners.
First up is Soca, opening August 1 on top of the Aladdin redevelopment.
This oneās tiny, around 30 seats, with more of an intimate cocktail bar feel. From everything Iāve heard, this will probably become one of the toughest reservations to land in KC, especially with views overlooking downtown, the Crossroads, and the Kauffman Center.
Then thereās Bar Phoebe opening in June in the East Crossroads atop the Holtman Building.
Completely different vibe. Bigger space, 200+ capacity, full menu, and more of a social rooftop setup with skyline views in every direction.
But the concept is what really stands out.
The bar is named after Phoebe Jane Ess, an early Kansas City womenās rights activist who was openly Pro-Prohibition. So the whole place is built as a modern tribute to that history, a little rebellious and very KC.
And honestly⦠between these two spots, it feels like Kansas Cityās finally starting to catch up on the rooftop bar scene.
Which one are you most excited for? š

Telling the stories this generation needs to hear. 25-Year-Old Zach Molzer and his 2 partners are developing over $50M of real estate projects in the Kansas City Area. Today I had the pleasure to sit down with Zach in the Aladdin Building and hear his story. āWhy not do a project for millions when itās mostly the same tasks as renovating small homesā says Zach. His story is a true example of going big or go home in entrepreneurship. Stay tuned and subscribe to the podcast in my bio to see the full episode.
