A little bit about us, because someone once came up to me at a wedding and said she loved following over the years and had no idea what we looked like. I can’t promise I’ll be better, so here we are :)
“Life in the fast lane” is not for us. Life on the scenic drive, with trees, lake hopping, rummage sales and supper clubs is the personal pace. “Up north” is our happy place 🦆
I’d describe my personal style as “blue jean baby meets farmer in the dell” 😂 (you’d be impressed with the number of overalls I own ) and Matt, slowly but definitely surely, will resemble Santa Claus in 10 years. He’s often seen accessorizing with a headlamp. Our house is probably decorated like your grandpa’s house.
We’re a 70’s style with a heart for the 90’s sort of people.
“Doer of all, master of none” is not for us. We don’t have to be one thing and enjoying life and all of its opportunities creates longevity to keep at the things we love. It’s important to protect that spark ✨ I love to garden and do crafts of all kinds, Matt loves kayaking and tinkering. I’m watching him carve a wooden spoon as I type this ;)
We photograph weddings as a pair and documenting you and your people comfortably, as you are, is a huge honor and joy for us to do together 🌞
The sweetest couple of minutes on Earth. What I loved about this whole weekend is we never really knew for sure what friend belonged with who or which family member was supposed to be in which photo grouping. They were all one all day 💛
On the morning of their wedding day, on the edge of The Great Smoky Mountains, Jo and Hunter sipped their coffee on top of the world. The back deck of the farm house was the dance floor and ceremony seating. It was an October dream day.
Jo’s sister (and my dearest friend Meg) traveled from Wisconsin to Tennessee with buckets of flowers, she spent her morning creating with a view while her kids ran circles around her. Dream day.
Family friends were in the kitchen, where they started their meal prep for the most delicious, home cooked dinner. Feeding people they care about in a place that’s new, with a menu they made. Dream day.
Jordyn’s friends helped each other with hair and details, the afternoon came and the porch filled with 22 of their favorite people. It was just those 22 and the mountains for the rest of the day. It was slow and casual and a dream day for all of us 🌞
It included all of the things we love about Wisconsin- gambling for dollars, one huge family hang out where the aunts make a million delicious deserts. Shasta campers and tents and cabins, a raffle, and all while surrounded by lakes and trees starting to turn color.
We loved that Tyler’s contact fell into Emily’s shoe, it stuck, and she kept it there. Easy going and easy to love 🌊⛺️
At home, where it tastes like coffee, smells like incense, sounds like creaky wood floors and baseball on the TV. Feels like sun stripes through the windows, the touch of books and the sight of found art and Margo the dog at your feet. Allison & Quin in the morning ✨
