Todays printing fun at #thecurwenprintstudycentre was #linocut. I had lots of funny shaped lino offcuts from various projects…I cut these into partial circles which I then cut some designs on. I tried to get them with a colour and then a black print to roughly make circles of design. Great fun!
I had a lovely day yesterday at a collaging workshop run by @mich_tom and organised by the #frygallery was great fun. Really nice to have a tour of her #papercutsexhibition at the Fry. #nationalcollageday
I bought this illustration at the bootsale this morning assuming and accepting that it was a print…well it was only £3…on closer inspection I am fairly certain that it’s an original…sadly there is nothing written on the back…just the label…any ideas? #unknownartist #illustrator #associationofillustrators
Having been inspired by what @_alina.krit_ does I’ve been playing around with #stencils (using discarded permatrace from work…love a bit of #recycling) …kinda like this one…a chap contemplating what to draw or write…stuck. Got to work on my ink application.
I finally got round to constructing a mount for my Doll and her dog Luna. Quite a faff…but I like the result.

I found this 1940s book in #oxfam a while ago…it’s provided some inspiration for prints. One of which was these dancing mice. Sadly the paper isn’t really strong enough…that isn’t why they look so unhappy…I don’t think they like dancing! Still it was fun to do.
Last weeks fun at #thecurwenprintstudycentre was a bit more of the #linocut square combinations that I’d tried the week before…I added a few more different tiles. I really like how some of them interact…never quite sure how they will until you peel back the paper…very exciting!
I bought this lovely print of Fowey Harbour a while back…before I got round to putting it up the glass got broken 😞. I bought some other enormous prints a while ago that when I sold them the buyer didn’t want the frames. Cut one down to fit the other. Very satisfying!
Today’s print fun at #thecurwenprintstudycentre was #linocut printing based on 9 squares that I printed one side then turned over, repositioned and printed again…it kind of reminds me of 1950s fabric design…nice to do something a bit more abstract
