A year ago today, this grounded, peaceful, determined, hilarious, and advanced little soul made Carl and I a family of 3. 'Ōlena you’ve changed everything for the better. I’m constantly in awe of your growth as well as the growth you’ve inspired. You’re a stunning example of what’s possible when all the right pieces are in place.
To all the people who have been there for us this year, I just want to give you the biggest hug. Becoming a mother has a way of shuffling people in and out of your life. There’s always a bit of sadness for the people and pieces of yourself you’re asked to leave behind, but once you accept the process, you realize you’re right where you ought to be. As I look back at all the changes she’s gone through, I see the same in Carl and I as parents.
I’m forever grateful for the relationships we’ve created and strengthened along the way. Family, friends, community. Being a mother is like entering a whole new dimension that was there all along, you’re just finally able to see it now. The level of support and connection is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Honored to be a part of it.

Happy birthday my love! This year you became a father to our beautiful 'Ōlena, aka Oli baby + Milky Princess 👑 😂 One year ago I was conspiring to get you a birthday cake in Indo. Who would’ve known that your next birthday would be spent washing epic blowouts in the outside shower and becoming the best father a girl could ask for. Thank you for being the most loving, grounded, insightful and goofy husband. So lucky to be on this journey with you. I’m in awe of the man you are 🤍
2024 was the beginning of a huge transformation for us both. We got married and begun the journey of becoming parents all at once. Through it all we’ve just been floored by at the amount of help, love and support we’ve gotten from our friends, family and community.
To all of you who helped us create this beautiful wedding (and there are a lot of you), you know who you are. Hopefully by now we’ve been able to communicate the depth of our gratitude. We’re so honored to call you our people. Mahalo to the Snows for literally everything you did to make this a dream come true. It seems impossible to fully express how much this has meant to me.
