La Croix dâAgadez (The cross of Agadez)đłđŞ
Born from the hands of Tuareg silversmiths, this pendant isnât just jewellery⌠itâs geography, identity, and history melted into metal, copper, gold, silver. There are 22 versions of the cross, each representing a Tuareg town, but Agadez, the one from northern Niger is the most iconic.
Even though its story started in that region, the craft has spread across the Sahara. Today, every Tuareg community has its own way of shaping it, its own meaning, its own flair. Some say itâs protection. Some say itâs heritage. Some say itâs a compassâŚ.
