Exposition of our #3dprinted elements / textures & verticality /#Matrice research project / Fabrication additive / restitution day MATRICE, lead by the Institute Mines Telecom (IMT) and the School of Architecture and Landscape of Lille (ENSAPL), questions the issues about the additive manufacturing (or 3D printing) applied to the building industry. Here are some results of the rich works of our third-year undergraduate students as part of my #Morphology course at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture et de Paysage de Lille. We organized this course as a one-week workshop (during the ecology week) at the school's "Atelier echelle 1" (Fablab). Through a #digitaldesign & (digital) fabrication project, the course aims to introduce students to morphology and #architectural_geometry: different curves, #surfaces , #curvatures, discretization, #fabrication strategies... The subject of the "Hexa Pavillion" exercise was the design of #architectural space in a volume of a hexagonal prism (6 meters side) by defining a logic to approach #geometry, #structure, and #materiality . As this teaching aims to introduce the fundamental notions of morphology and architectural geometry, we have limited the digital modeling to the use of #Rhinoceros without entering and approaching Grasshopper and parametric modeling. I would like to thank all the students for this wonderful atmosphere and the work accomplished as well as the supervisors Aly Abdelmagid and Valentin CARPENTIER.

Le pavillon Surf & Curve exposé au Forum International @forumboisconstruction qui a eu lieu au Grand Palais à Paris du 25 au 27 février 2026. Surf & Curve est un pavillon expérimental en bois (échelle 1) développé à l’ @ensaplille dans le cadre du master Exploration – Digital Form Finding co-encadré par @aly.elshafei.abdelmagid et @mohammadmansouri . [ میز بینابین ] / [ The table in-between ] این میز برای فضای هیبریدی @beinabein.space در هفتهٔ دیزاین تهران طراحی و ساخته شد؛ فضایی میان نمایشگاه و کارگاه که نیاز به عنصری چندمنظوره و درعین‌حال هویت‌ساز داشت. فرم میز از نسبت میان دو منحنی شکل گرفت که فاصله، جهت و شعاع انحنا (curvature) در گفت‌وگو با مسیرهای حرکتی و کالبد فضا تنظیم شد. تغییرات در مماس‌ها (tangents) و نقاط عطف (inflection points) زبان فرمی پروژه را ساخت و تعادلی میان سیالیت و نظم ایجاد کرد. میز از ۹ بخش مستقل تشکیل شده که می‌توان آن‌ها را جدا، جابه‌جا و دوباره ترکیب کرد تا متناسب با هر موقعیت چیدمان تازه‌ای بسازند. سطوح با CNC از MDF بریده و پایه‌های فلزی حداقلی برای آن ساخته شدند. رنگ آبی براق، حضور آن را آرام و خوانا نگه می‌دارد. طراحی و ساخت (دیجیتال) @mohammadmansouri --- [ The table in-between ] Designed and fabricated for the hybrid space of @beinabein.space at Tehran Design Week — a setting alternating between exhibition and workshop. The table’s form emerged from the relation between two curves, whose distance, direction, and radius of curvature respond to spatial trajectories and the geometry of the space. Variations in curvature, tangents, and inflection points define its formal language and create a balance between order and fluidity. Composed of nine independent segments, it can be rearranged, separated, or reconnected to adapt to different spatial conditions. The surfaces were CNC-cut from MDF, with minimal steel legs providing structural clarity. Its glossy blue finish gives it a calm and legible presence within the space.
