I wrote “Proof of Life” last spring while searching for answers about the state of the world & the fate of humanity. It’s my post-apocalyptic journal entry, if you will. Though seemingly dark at first, this song is really about maintaining hope & being brave in the face of adversity & strife. It’s a reminder that there is light at the end of the tunnel. This song is also unreleased so this is a sneak peek at what to expect on the record.

This release sneaked up on me (and that’s on ADHD & needing a team 👀) but the minute I realized that Vines had gone live, my shoulders automatically relaxed. I felt a calm wash over me with splashes of excitement and pride. I screamed, laughed, cried and then I went to bed 😂
Waking up to a flood of texts & DMs with messages of love & support made me cry all over again so THANK YOU. Thank you for listening. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for understanding that I am a bit of a slow burn but fear not as this is the first of many songs of mine to come.

To the team that made this possible: I LOVE YOU ALL. The first iteration of this song was recorded with the one and only @bobbywooten3 at NYU for his production class in 2023. When I then brought it to @calehawkins to reimagine, he combined the live elements from that session- foundations laid by my wonderful pals listed below- with his unbelievable, wizard-like talent in the studio and created a world to live in for 3 minutes & 27 seconds. Cale, thank you for embarking on this journey with me. You’re the GOAT!!!
