Grief changes you. 💔
Stress changes your body.
And sometimes the spiral doesn’t show up immediately. It shows up months later.
For me, it often looks like this:
🌀A major emotional trigger → chronic stress → poor habits → inflammation → exhaustion → an autoimmune flare.
Losing my grandma last year hit me harder than I expected. She was my favorite person in the world. I could feel my body starting to unravel but I had zero willpower to stop the spiral even though I have all the knowledge and tools at my fingertips.
That’s part of why I built Modwella. 🖤🪽
Not from perfection.
From experience.
Because women like me don’t just need “self care.” We need support systems and human connections that help us recover faster, regulate our nervous systems and replenish what stress and trauma deplete so we can get back to baseline before the spiral gets too far.
For me, that’s looked like:
🩸drawing labs instead of guessing
💦calming the fire cascade of inflammation with IV therapy for electrolyte balance and recovery
❤️🩹replenishing iron stores and nutrient deficiencies
