This project features a unique sandblasted brick from Island Block & Paving in a 60x390 format, processed specifically for the Nexbrick™ system. One of the advantages of Nexbrick™ is the ability to engineer rails around a wide range of brick sizes and formats, including longer linear styles that traditional systems often struggle to accommodate efficiently. For this project, the bricks were precision cut and processed to integrate into our mechanically fixed rail system, including matching corner solutions to maintain the depth and feel of traditional masonry throughout the façade. The result is a genuine brick finish with the flexibility, speed, and control of an off-site prefabricated system. #Nexbrick #ModularMasonry #BrickFacade #Architecture #Construction Cladding Brickwork

There are some seriously good people doing great things behind the scenes in our industry. Back on the road on Friday connecting, learning, and catching up with more people across the trade, first stop was @modularmasonrygroup Modular Masonry Group. We work with several different systems across the industry, and each has its place depending on the outcome required for a project. What we really value though is getting behind the scenes, continuing to learn, and connecting with people who genuinely care about the future of brickwork and construction. It was great spending time on the ground learning more about the Modular Masonry system and seeing the work, innovation, and thinking that goes into products like these. Systems like this can play a really important role in retaining the use of brick in areas where traditional brickwork can sometimes become too difficult or heavily engineered. Connection, collaboration, and sharing knowledge across the industry is something we’re becoming more and more passionate about. The more we do it, the stronger the future of the trade becomes. A big thank you as well to the Modular Masonry team for their support over the years across us, our team, our businesses, and the industry more broadly. The industry needs more good people like this. A lot of respect for these guys. More to come from the road. #bricklaying #masonry #innovation #bricklayer #brickcladding

470sqm of façade completed in just 17 days. Nexbrick™ on Fairfield Street. A project that pushed precision at every stage, from the sweeping curved frontage through to the fine brick detailing and finish quality up close. Using real brick facings mechanically fixed onto the Nexbrick™ rail system, the façade was able to achieve the depth and character of traditional masonry while supporting a faster, lighter, and more controlled installation process across the complex geometry of the build. • Sanselmo Silver • Installed by AOB Construction • Built by Molkat Construction #Nexbrick #ModularMasonry #BrickFacade #Architecture #FacadeDesign ResidentialArchitecture Brickwork AustralianArchitecture

Nexbrick™ delivered at scale on the Fairfield Street project. A large curved façade, tight site access, accelerated programme, and over 470sqm of brickwork completed with precision using the Nexbrick™ system. Using real brick facings mechanically fixed onto our Australian-made rail system, the project was able to achieve the depth, texture, and permanence of traditional masonry while supporting a faster and more controlled installation process across the complex geometry of the build. The sweeping curved frontage and clean brick detailing make this one a standout example of how Nexbrick™ can be integrated into architecturally ambitious residential projects without compromising on finish quality or construction efficiency. Project Details: • Sanselmo Silver brick • 470sqm Nexbrick™ façade • Curved front elevation • Installed by AOB Construction • Built by Molkat Construction • Completed in 17 days Nexbrick™ is a mechanically fixed brick façade system using real brick facings cut from full bricks and dual-engaged onto an Australian-made steel rail system for faster, lighter, and more controlled installation across flat, curved, and complex surfaces. #Nexbrick #ModularMasonry #Architecture #BrickFacade #ResidentialArchitecture FacadeDesign Brickwork ConstructionInnovation AustralianArchitecture ArchitecturalDesign

A first look at a new project we’ll be sharing soon, Fairfield St. Finished in Sanselmo Silver, this façade combines sweeping curves, tight site access, and over 470sqm of brickwork delivered in just 17 days. Up close, the texture, depth, and variation in the brick really come through, especially across the curved frontage where precision mattered most. Installed by AOB Construction for Molkat Construction, this project is a strong example of how Nexbrick™ can help accelerate construction on complex architectural facades without losing the character and finish people expect from real masonry. More to come from this one soon. #nexbrick #modularmasonry #architecture #brickfacade #construction masonry facadedesign australianarchitecture

Where do Nexbrick™ facings come from? They start as real full clay bricks. For this project, Krause Bricks Ghost bricks in a 290 × 50 format are processed by cutting two genuine brick facings from every full brick, creating a more material-efficient approach while still retaining the authentic texture, variation, and character of real masonry. Each facing is then precision saw-grooved so it can dual engage into the Nexbrick™ mechanically fixed rail system, allowing the brick to securely lock into place as part of a high performance ventilated façade system. Because Nexbrick™ uses real brick facings cut from genuine clay bricks, the finished façade still delivers the depth and appearance architects expect from traditional masonry, while significantly reducing façade weight and improving installation efficiency. The result: ▪️ Two usable facings from one brick ▪️ Reduced material weight and transport loads ▪️ Real brick and real mortar finish ▪️ Faster, more controlled installation ▪️ Precision aligned mechanically fixed system ▪️ Suitable for flat, curved, and complex façades Real brick, engineered differently. #Nexbrick #BrickFacade #KrauseBricks #ArchitecturalBrick #VentilatedFacade RainscreenFacade BrickCladding MechanicalFix ModernArchitecture SustainableConstruction PrefabConstruction FacadeDesign AustralianArchitecture ModularMasonryGroup

Nexbrick™ at Adeney Hospital, showing the transition from off-site fabrication through to rapid on-site installation. For this project, façade sections were assembled and prepared off site before being transported to site for installation, allowing the team to maintain quality control, coordination and programme efficiency well before the panels reached the building. Using the Nexbrick system, full bricks were processed into 25mm facings and mechanically fixed onto Australian-made steel rails, creating lightweight prefabricated façade sections that could be installed significantly faster than traditional full brick construction completed entirely on site. On a project involving curved geometry, soldier stack bond detailing, glazed brick integration and tight construction timeframes, reducing on-site labour and installation complexity became critical. The prefabricated approach allowed installers to focus on accurate placement and sequencing rather than building every element traditionally from scratch at height. Delivered alongside Hansen Yuncken and Casello, this project demonstrates how Nexbrick combines real brick, engineered systems and prefabricated workflows to support faster delivery across complex architectural façades. #Nexbrick #ModularMasonry #BrickworkReimagined #Prefabrication #FacadeEngineering OffsiteConstruction AdeneyHospital ConstructionInnovation Casello HansenYuncken

Nexbrick™ at Adeney Hospital, a façade where geometry, bond detail and material selection all had to work together with absolute precision. From the internal curved walls to the soldier stack bond and glazed brick detailing, this project pushed the system well beyond standard flat façade applications. Every brick facing was processed from full brick units and mechanically fixed onto the Nexbrick rail system, allowing the façade to maintain tight alignment and consistent coursing across complex forms and elevation changes. Projects like this highlight one of the key advantages of Nexbrick, the ability to achieve highly detailed masonry outcomes with greater installation control, reduced façade weight and improved buildability compared to traditional full brick construction. Delivered alongside Hansen Yuncken and Casello, this remains one of the clearest examples of how engineered masonry systems can support complex architectural intent without sacrificing the authenticity of real brick. #Nexbrick #ModularMasonry #BrickworkReimagined #AdeneyHospital #Architecture FacadeDesign ConstructionInnovation EngineeredMasonry Casello HansenYuncken
