85% of my career has been failure + I think that’s pretty good odds. “Mirror” has been out for a week + this one feels like a success. What’s your favorite lyric in the song? Lemme know.
People don’t talk about how important lifestyle is. The environment you create directly affects your entire existence. This new music is all based around just that. So I started a new brand to help really define this whole world. A THOUSAND YEARS AGO : objects for everyday rituals. The first item is for my new song “Mirror”. Each product is curated to what the songs represent. A stainless tray that shows your reflection but is a functional piece of art. A white pebble stone attached to hold your incense that stands for clarity, purity, peace, + new beginnings. Each tray is hand engraved by me + says “The Lifestyle You Ordered…”. On the underside it’s signed + dated 2026. Each one is individually made + packaged by me. Only 200 available in the first edition. You can purchase yours now at athousandyearsago.com + follow @a.thousand.years.ago if you like what you see. I really love what we are doing in this chapter. Feels like our community is stronger than ever.
Took it back to the way this all started. I celebrated my 7th year of sobriety with a free show in Long Beach for 300 people packed in a sweaty room. I missed this feeling so much. Everything about this night felt so genuine. We played a song then stopped + I interacted with the energy in the room. No flawless transitions, no scripted speeches in between songs, no perfect performance. It took me this long to get back to where i came from. I performed my new song twice, 3 unreleased songs from the new album, + all the classics (yes even hippy hop was in the building “stoner girl” went crazy). It was 100% one of my favorite shows I’ve ever played + the exact way to start this new journey. Tour with @machinegunkelly starts in a month + then we gonna take this music around the world. Thank you to my label @bigloudrock for making this night happen. EXTRA huge thank you to everyone that came out + made this such a special night. Go listen to “Mirror” on repeat + please keep spreading the word. This community is tighter than it’s ever been.
7 YEARS OF SOBRIETY. On this day last year I shared a story with the world that was really scary for me. I unknowingly took a sip of alcohol on my 6th year of sobriety. I was scared to tell anyone around me about it because I thought it meant I had to start all over + thoughts of using were higher than ever before…BUT I told the world + found a community that made me feel forgiveness + strength. Because of that I was able to stay strong. So THIS year I gave myself all the love I possibly could. I changed everything + focused on me. I worked really really hard. I made the best music of my life, I got in the best shape I’ve ever been in, I studied what inner peace really looked like for me, + I even packed up all my belongings + moved out of LA. I’m genuinely proud of the person I see in the mirror. Anyone reading this…if you are struggling right now, I promise change is possible. You can start a brand new life right now. You are in charge of your story, so give yourself the life you deserve. You can fail as many times as you want, but just keep trying. We aren’t perfect, but we do recover. Sobriety changed my life…it really did. I love you all so much + I can’t wait to show you the work I’ve put in. I’m really lucky to have yall. It feels nice to have a genuine smile of my face as I type this. What a ride it’s been.
Sometimes if you get the right people in the room all those crazy ideas in your head aren’t so crazy.
The song + music video for “Mirror” are out now everywhere. I got blessed yall. A year ago everything was in such a different place. To be honest, it was looking bleak for me…but fighters do what fighters do. I poured everything I have into this project. Huge love to @bigloudrock for believing in the MUSIC. My art is what got me back on my feet + that is something I’m the most proud of. Yall are my army, let the world know we goin 🆙
All the people I made this with are tagged.

If I didn’t start as a drummer I wouldn’t even be here. Started my first band at 14 years old + played in talent shows…I was trash. Found Travis Barker + watched every live performance with my face an inch away from the screen + studied everything he did…spent every second learning blink songs until I got decent enough to play through a whole album. Started my next band at 17 + we were actually fire…but I got kicked out right after high school. That’s when I joined Four Letter Lie. We were actually really next level + people been coming up to me lately talking about how much they loved those albums…highly recommend looking them up on Spotify. Eventually I left the band + started playing in Scary Kids Scaring Kids…iconic post hardcore band. RIP Tyson Steven’s forever n ever. He was the one who pushed me to be Mod Sun full time + I think about him everyday + am so grateful for my time with those boys. Here we are so many years later…still playing drums…even playing on the same drum set I had 20 years ago. The journey is the best part.
