Throwback to Cannes 2019.
It was quite a blinding moment. Most of it is in a blur! Me in my Kanjeevaram and black clutch, giddy, nervous and enjoying every bit of it.

The photo is a bts from a shoot. I don't remember which. Anyway, asked AI to adjust the ambience according to the expression on my face. This is what it comes up with.. it is kind of accurate though
Stepping into the world of animation as a cinematographer was both exciting and deeply challenging — a completely different grammar of image-making, where every frame had to be imagined, built, lit, and refined from scratch.
Working on Kurukshetra was a long journey of experimentation, planning, reworking, and constantly pushing the visual language to find the right scale, emotion, and atmosphere for the series. It took years of collaboration, patience, and countless creative conversations to finally arrive at the images you see on screen today.
What makes the experience truly special is the love the visuals have received from audiences. As a cinematographer, taking a creative leap into animation was a risk — and seeing people connect with the world we built is incredibly gratifying.
A huge part of the credit goes to the incredible animation artists and team who worked tirelessly alongside me. These frames exist because of a collective vision, trust, and a shared obsession with detail. Very grateful to all of them for helping bring this universe to life. 🎥✨

1. The Foundation. 2. The Development. 3. The Final Vision. Each stage represents hours of collaboration and technical problem-solving
Showing the three stages of our Kurukshetra animation process. It’s a complex dance of technology and artistry.. Wish I could share the process behind every shot but it's ok. Sharing just an example. Will try to share more soon!!
This still is from Episode 13.
