'As a director and editor, cutting is present in every aspect of my work. The decision of when to cut and what to cut to, is what makes film making ultimately an editors medium.'

CUT
by Rang Ittirit
@rang_ittirit
Cut by Rang Ittarit is a portrait exhibition that explores the idea of “cut” beyond its literal meaning in tailoring. Here, cut becomes a gesture of intention, a process of removing the unnecessary to reveal what truly matters.
Photographed entirely on analog film by Rang (Surasak Ittirit), one of Thailand’s leading fashion photographers, each image reflects a quiet depth, capturing subtle emotions and the authenticity of its subjects. With over two decades of experience, Rang is known for his distinctive visual language, intimate, observant, and deeply human.
The exhibition features a curated group of individuals whose personal style and character resonate with the spirit of Moderne Cut Tailoring including Pod Modern Dog, Top Todsapol, Note Krissada, Beer Pongsakorn, Win Chana, Oats x somewhere, Marnisama, and Chamniseye. Through Rang’s lens, each portrait becomes an interpretation of “cut”, not as construction, but as reduction, clarity, and presence.
CUT is not tailoring.
CUT is a choice.
We cut the noise.
We cut the excess.
We keep what matters.
In this exhibition, every frame is a study of that philosophy, where composition, light, and subject are distilled to their essence. No excess, no explanation, only what remains.
At the end,
just say: MODERNE CUT
