Head First Remixed sees Akuratyde’s 2024 album reimagined by a carefully selected cast of collaborators. Each track is reinterpreted through a distinct lens, spanning several genres while retaining the emotional core of the original material. Contributions from Bop, Syglit, Tellus, Human Synthetics, Alpha Rhythm, Monika, Biorhythm, Sorse, Alegria, Stillhead, and Akuratyde transform the tracks, from glitch-heavy IDM and microfunk, to atmospheric jungle, to stripped-back minimalism and rave-inspired breakbeat, the album constantly shifts shape while remaining anchored in the melodic identity of Head First.
