On the final day of NZFW 2025, I was lucky enough to attend the Graduate Collection show featuring designs from AUT, Massey & Whitecliffe. From the helpful women at the front desk to the excited volunteers, the energy was buzzing. Sitting front row, it was heartwarming to see friends & families of all generations had gathered to support the graduates.
Each designer presented work that felt true to their identity & interests, crafted with fine detail & thought. I must say the diversity of the models was an improvement from 2023; though as a talent agent; I truly hope to see a broader representation of diverse models in the future.
After the show, I met some of the designers as they emerged, their relief & joy visible was palpable. Outside Shed 10, I continued capturing street style & chatting with models, attendees & volunteers. The day felt like a celebration of fashion, community & the future of design in Aotearoa.
