We spent some time testing the latest round of prototypes for the Prologue - our upcoming 98% layout keyboard.
These boards already sound and feel amazing with our new Crown Mounting System. Another round of updates still need to be made, but these are in a great place.

A new Soft White top case for Encore, featuring the Studio Light colorway.
This new e-coat finish was developed to run warmer than the cooler e-white we used before. It softens the whole palette, feels a little more at home, and pairs beautifully with the maple hardwood accent.

That's what we set out to build with the Crown Mounting System. Here's the first listen — a Mocha Mushroom Encore built with the Obscura linear keycaps on an aluminum plate, paired with our new Cacao keycaps.

A year in the making. Countless sketches, prototypes, and refinements resulting in a top-mounted shoulder bolt with a wave spring, paired with a silicone spool and bushing, all working together for stability, responsive feel, and a cleaner sound.
Named after its design inspiration, the crown of a watch because it's the small details that change how the whole thing feels.
Introducing the Crown Mounting System (patent pending). Debuting on the updated Encore, and soon, the Prologue.

An updated Mode Sonnet in 2026? Yes please.
I had the opportunity to look at the updated Sonnet and was very happy with the small changes introduced with this iteration. Particularly the updated ridges on the internal bottom piece. I am really looking forward to Mode’s new projects this year and more updates. They are cooking recently!

Mocha is a new color - a rich, warm brown that's deeper and more saturated than our other earth tones, with a noticeable warmth to it.
The Mocha anodized bottom case on the Sonnet is paired with a green top and walnut accent to complete the Forest Mocha colorway.
