“New Trying Outs” è il titolo dell’album di debutto di @modekayma . Al secolo Ori Toledano, nato a Tel Aviv, il suo nome d’arte significa “esistenza”. Invece il titolo dell’album è traducibile come provare un cambiamento, la ricerca di qualcosa di nuovo: è una sorta di cambio d’abito della sua stessa esistenza di artista.
Nato come autore di brani diventati colonna sonora di spot di marchi come Subaru e Pepsi, Kayma ha deciso di metterci la faccia, pubblicando i singoli “Learn to Say No” e “Bad Blood”.
Il suo nuovo singolo è “Bunny”: «Il titolo allude a un aspetto giocoso e spensierato della mia personalità, che fino ad ora non ho pienamente espresso nella mia musica», racconta Kayma. «Tuttavia l’importanza di includere questa canzone nell’album è tanto importante quanto la mia canzone più profonda e vulnerabile».

All’anagrafe Ori Toledano, Kayma (@modekayma ) racconta a THR Roma come è nato il bisogno di intraprendere il nuovo progetto artistico racchiuso nell’album New Trying Outs (in uscita il 31 maggio). E, nel farlo, la necessità di non prendersi troppo sul serio: “Durante i miei concerti sono un maniaco del controllo, mentre qui sono volato fino in Giappone per improvvisare”.
Il videoclip girato dal regista Indy Hait (@indy.hait ) riflette la voglia di libertà e spontaneità raccontata dal brano, che esorta l’ascoltatore a “fregarsene, fare ciò che si vuole, essere strano, vestirsi come pare”.

Dear Italian friends🇮🇹
This picture was taken a year and a half ago at the heart of the Vatican where I was invited to meet with pope @franciscus .
During that visit I performed on national TV with the Vatican’s Symphony Orechestra in the name of peace.
At the time it felt like the world was opening up and everything i wished for was within reach. Obviously things didn’t play out as I expected and It’s been quite some time since I’ve shared music with you but I’m thrilled to announce that my album will be available for you next week and I can’t wait to for you to hear it.
I’m going to take advantage of this post to further say that In these difficult times of disinformation and generalization, It is my wish for you to see the kindness and good hearts out here that are seeking to live, explore and share this world with harmony and respect towards one another. It is also my wish for the world to understand why one can’t and won’t just let his child die in a cave and that not all of us here support our disgraceful government’s decisions.
May the voice of love and peace will rise over hate and may music be the answer. ♥️
