Personal photo dump….🥰 Took some time to travel with my good friend Samarie Pel. Delray Beach Florida did not disappoint. ☀️ The weather was awesome, the food and shopping was amazing and the people watching was the best I’ve ever experienced 😂 This will date me, but I met David Brian, keyboardist for Bon Jovi. We were at the same Derby party and I couldn’t resist introducing myself. My mom was in the hospital again a couple weeks ago but is home now recovering. Taking care of an aging parent is not easy but we do it because we love them. She’s doing better but we have a long road ahead of us. ❤️ Mother’s Day was super relaxing and yes, I did spend time with my daughter…just no pics lol. I guess I wanted to be in the moment. Beautiful weather, mimosas and laughter filled the day! 🥂

This month I celebrate 10 years as Mod Bloom 🥂 I’ve been a florist for 3 decades but 10 years ago I took the leap and went full time as self employed. That word alone was even scary to say. But it was the best decision I could have ever made in my career. No looking back and only planning forward. I’m so excited for my next chapter that will hopefully bloom this year (no pun intended). Stay tuned for updates as the project evolves. Just like the way Brittany and Conor @brittaanymikula felt on their beautiful wedding day last August at the @theeloiseevents , is how l feel about my next chapter. Joy, love and excited for the future. By the way, Brittany’s bouquet is absolutely one of my favorites. I love Zinnias !! The uniqueness she took, carefully molding her vision is something I resonate with. My vision, concept and passion is right inline with everything I’ve learned over the span of my career. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and has become my advocate. It takes a team to build a dream. Capturing life through the camera….reflecting in no particular order. Easter with family 🐣 my daughters engagement pictures made everything so real 💍, spring flowers for others , my mom home from the hospital 🙏, surrendering my dog Eleanor to a loving family with a bonus buddy 🐶, deciding that I can say no, and it’s just fine, realizing I really do love buttons (stickers too!) swearing feels so good 😎, celebrating the loves of my life..grandson Felix (2!) and my daughter Madison (29!) 🎂 The beginning of this year has been a whirlwind but I’m not complaining. I’m stronger, more aware, driven and determined to create what I want. Fingers crossed, this year will be one of the best yet. 🤞💪

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas this year! My blessings consisted of ~ Watching my Grandson Felix enjoy the new wonders of Christmas 🎁 Spending quality time with my family 🥰 Making my Grandma Gessert’s Orange drop cookies and Christmas pudding (still enjoying today!) Holiday decorating for many homes and businesses (Thank you!) 🙏 Festive fun with centerpiece and wreath classes 🎄 But on a bittersweet note, I found my girl Eleanor a new home and family. For reasons beyond my control, it was a very hard decision to make but I know she is living her best life. She now has a brother (who is a pittie too) to chase and 2 young biys to play with. I hope this season is filled with new memories, rest, yummi food, blessings that aren’t wrapped with a bow, bountiful hugs and kisses and excitement for the new year.

Year 4 in the books! Last week I did my annual trip to Neenah to create a holiday wonderland for the Tanger family. Always an honor especially when the house is historic and perfectly decorated. Such a joy to let my creativeness come alive. The weather was beautiful, thank God, as it’s tough to be outside for 2 days when it’s 30 degrees out. Maddie and Jake’s wedding was simply perfection. Reflecting on their special day makes me smile. I had the best time working with Maddie. She was very detailed oriented and had the best attitude. She trusted me and I embraced her.
