MODAL X UNDERRADAR SAVE THE DATE 07/09/24 Our first regional collaboration with Jakarta’s UNDERRADAR, A true force of a label with a focus on the deeper sounds of the techno realm. They have been instrumental in promoting techno music across Asia, collaborating with other entities like BASSIS Shanghai on projects such as the “ASIA FUTURIST” Compilation, which featured 19 techno artists from the region. Joining us on this very special night are @weareunderradar very own beating hearts, ECILO and TORO who are both very prominent figures within Jakarta’s vibrant scene. And to cap it all off with our very own heavyweights, We have none other than JEHM & PREM on the bill. We are starting the night off early at 10pm, Headquarters.

@howr0ng back for MODE09! Catch him on warm up duties this 18th May at TUFF CLUB howrøng explores contrary soundscapes, from the clangs of ritualistic percussion, to blaring horns, shrieks and moans pitted against the grinding of industrial bulldozers. howrøng strives for cathartic release through a sonic-somatic experience, one that motivates their work at Bussy Temple to provide a shared rave space for release with their community. As a resident DJ and co-founder of queer collective ‘Bussy Temple’, howrøng aims to create safe rave spaces for queer folk in Singapore with their music. Their style can be described as a journey through techno, deconstructed club, breakbeat and hardcore with selections from labels such as SVBKVLT, Mama told ya, Mord Records, and also music from local artists in South-East and East Asia such as Tzusing, Xhin and rEmPiT g0dDe$$. In Singapore they have played at techno events organized by Thugshop, at HQ, Tuff Club, MDLR, and for local underground techno collectives MODAL and 4by4, also frequenting queer event series MISS HOMO and XOXO. Along their career they have had the pleasure of opening for Projekt Gestalten (Pornceptual) and closing for Dana Montana, Alex Wilcoxx, and regionally sharing the stage with estoc, rEmPiT g0dDe$$ and Sayang. They have also played internationally at techno and underground venues across south east asia such as under9 in Malaysia, Arcan in Vietnam and Red Room in Myanmar.
