this has been my results of my first year of competing with built/painted Gunpla and it's been a ride 😱 never expected anything and learning so much 👩🎨
painting has been a big part of my year and I'm really happy to find it - I've gone through a fair amount of grief this year and having shared goals and dreams with friends have helped so much, a fun distraction! even if we've met at an event once and chatted Gunpla you have no idea how much you've helped! A special shout-out to my platonic soulmate @theladyletifer for always inspiring me to keep at it (she gonna win that slayer sword one day)
I can't wait for all the events next year, medals are nice I'll admit! (god forbid a girl need some praise sue me) but hanging out with my friends is cooler!! I'm back in Tokyo over the holidays and I need to COOK and build even bigger displays somehow alongside my million other hobbies 🤔 (anyone wanna play MTG)

Earlier this year I had the absolute joy of chatting to @zakunamis for Plamo Hobby Magazine. Seeing it in print feels wild!
Representing the UK side of the hobby is so cool and gives me the ol' imposter syndrome. One of my many goals is to be a friendly face for any young girlies who might be thinking about getting into these spaces too. So genuinely, thank you for giving me the chance to get my voice out there!
Slight tangent, but as a kinaesthetic learner, anything physical just feels better and mags especially.
From picking up my weekly kerrang back in the day to every issue of Edge feeling like a little work of art. Physical media FOREVER 😩♥️

This time last year I jetted off to Tokyo on my own on what I guess was some kind of self-searching mission? After being there a few times I wanted my own Lost in Translation moment and I got it 🥲
I did a lot of things, but honestly some of the highs were sitting under blossoms with egg sandos and checking late night Monster Hunter Wilds updates.
After watching all the 'things you have to do in Japan' videos for years (which ironically over time have become my avoid spots lol) if there’s one thing I’d recommend if you go, it’s to look at that BIG schedule you’ve made and just take a day off. Walk around.
Look at manga all day. I dunno. You do you baby.
