Think you know your Caribbean flags? 👀🌎
In celebration of upcoming Caribbean Heritage Month, our very own vEnessa on the Public Art team put her knowledge to the test with Director Snider from the Mayor’s Office on Caribbean Community Affairs @moccadc — identifying flags that represent the cultures, histories, and identities of Caribbean nations across the diaspora.
From color choices to symbols and patterns, flag design is a powerful art form rooted in storytelling, pride, and national identity. Every detail in the artwork carries meaning and helps communities feel seen, connected, and recognized across the creative economy, Caribbean community and beyond!

Recognizing Denim Day 👖
Today, our team joined the global movement to stand against victim blaming and support survivors of sexual assault.
Denim Day began after a 1998 Italian Supreme Court ruling that overturned a sexual assault conviction because the victim wore tight jeans.
Each year since, on the last Wednesday of April, people wear denim to raise awareness and share resources. We were proud to join them!
