Reflecting on a beautiful Spring Tour with the CAI•OLA band. Some of the most respectful, engaged, and connected crowds we’ve ever played for. Flying the crew out for a @bluebirdtheater show in Denver was a highlight of my musical career and life. I hope I get to do that a whole lot more as both projects grow and I couldn’t be more humbled or grateful for the folks who come out to these shows and sing with us. Shout out to @shanewoods123 @kirbysybert @willbrown.fm @sicknislak for being the best buds I could ask for and backing me on this project. And our beautiful buds @midamericaband for opening each night and making our hairs stand on end. 'Year of the Cicada' (Revisted) ft. Me is out now 🤝 @mocaiola has been one of my favorite artists since hearing this song and it is an honor to get to feature on the acoustic version. I remember hearing this song for the first time on a road trip and I reached out to my now, dear friend, letting him know I'd love to collaborate. Next thing you know, we were out on the road together and then in the studio to record three songs: a cover of Bon Iver's 'Blood Bank', one of mine featuring @mocaiola (coming out later this year) and this version of 'Year of the Cicadas'. So grateful for these songs brother @mocaiola 🙏 it is an absolute joy collaborating and singing with you. Let's go on tour again together someday soon? Thank you @jantrit for bringing these songs to life and dealing with us day of recording 🤍
