Meet Hana β€” and her very impressive talent for doing absolutely nothing. 🐾 It might not sound like much, but for a Mobility Dog in training, learning to settle calmly in any environment is one of the most important skills there is. Wherever their person goes, they go β€” and they need to be able to switch off, stay calm, and simply be present without fuss. Hana is, it turns out, a natural. She's slept through an entire movie at the cinema. She's settled beautifully through meetings without so much as a wiggle. And she's clocked more hours on the gym floor than most of us would like to admit β€” calm, quiet, and completely unfazed by the weights clanking around her. Doing nothing, it seems, is actually quite hard. Hana makes it look easy. πŸ’šπŸ–€

Could this girl be any more photogenic? We think not. πŸ“·πŸΎ Tilda visited the vet today for a routine check-up and was, predictably, an absolute star. Calm, still, and looking directly into the camera like she knew exactly what she was doing. All clear, golden girl. We're so proud of you. πŸ’š

Today is International Day of Families πŸ’š Family looks different for everyone - and for many of our clients, their Mobility Dog is very much part of theirs. They're there for the early mornings and the hard days. The celebrations and the quiet evenings. They don't judge, and they never give up. Today, we're celebrating every shape of family, especially our wonderful Mobility Dogs family - and it goes without saying that this includes the four-legged members. 😊

Don't let the toys fool you. Mousse means business. 🍫🧸🐾 Off duty, this gorgeous chocolate Lab is all about a good play and a well-earned rest. On duty, she is calm, focused and quietly brilliant. Mousse is training to become a Mobility Dog - and she needs a sponsor to help make that happen. If you'd like to follow her journey from playful pup to life-changing partner, we'd love to have you along. Sponsor Mousse: https://mobilitydogs.co.nz/sponsor-a-puppy/

Coco got the all-clear today β€” and the world had better be ready. 🍫🐾 After passing her 3-month vet check, our gorgeous chocolate Lab is now officially allowed everywhere. And we mean everywhere. She's got a big future ahead of her, and the best seat in the house is as her sponsor. You'll get updates, photos, and the joy of knowing you're helping make her journey possible. πŸ’š Sponsor Coco at https://mobilitydogs.co.nz/sponsor-a-puppy/ Thanks for the team at Onewa Road Veterinary Hospital for looking after her so well. @onewavets

Truffle is taking a bit of a break from the Puppies in Prison programme, and instead she is spending some time out and about in Auckland city with one of our wonderful puppy raisers. She's been out to some cafes, been on the bus and is soaking up the big city vibes!

Behind every great dog is a pretty great human. πŸ’š Kai is training hard up in Whangārei with his puppy raiser β€” and as you can see, he's absolutely loving every minute of it. The bond these two have built is exactly what makes the difference. Keep going, team Kai. You're doing brilliantly. 🐾

Turns out AUT isn't just for humans. πŸŽ“πŸΎ Our dogs-in-training were on campus last week, working through their paces with our trainers and puppy raisers - and we're pretty sure they were the best-behaved students there. Stays, focus, distractions - all handled with flying colours!

After lots of training, even the hardest workers deserve a rest. Morley has found the perfect spot - and honestly, we can't argue with his logic. πŸ”₯ Every Mobility Dog in training gives so much of themselves. We think a fireside nap is more than earned.

Lenny would like you to know he is working very hard and is definitely not just enjoying a beautiful day at the beach. (He is also enjoying a beautiful day at the beach.) Training looks different every day for our dogs-in-training - and getting out into the world, staying calm and focused in new environments, is some of the most important work they do. πŸΎπŸ’š

When you see a green jacket, please keep walking. πŸ’š Our dogs-in-training are learning to focus in all kinds of environments β€” and every time someone walks past without stopping to pat or call out, you're helping them become the Mobility Dog someone is waiting for. It takes a village. Thank you for being part of ours.πŸ’š

Our Hamilton puppy raisers and also some of our partnered dogs often come together for a training session - and this week was no exception. 🐾 Jimmy, Keri, Holly and Sonny were all very good dogs and put in the mahi on a beautiful autumn day. From sit-stays to walking to heel, every session builds the skills that will one day make a real difference in someone's life.
