Mo' Motion Dance Academy is hosting 4 weeks of summer camp for dancers ages 4–18 in Tacoma. Your child will train in ballet, jazz, hip hop, West African, contemporary, and more — all in a space built to celebrate who they are.

Summer is a great time to get started at Mo’ Motion or continue building strong technique in a focused, supportive environment. Classes are offered in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and conditioning, with training designed to help dancers grow in strength, confidence, and discipline.
Whether your dancer is brand new or experienced, summer is the perfect time to join before the fall season.

Mo’ Motion Dance has received a $3,000 donation from the @TacomaBlackFund , fully covering our studio barres and mirrors and surpassing our fundraising goal. This is what community looks like.
We launched just seven months ago and our classes have been filling up fast. This investment means we now have the equipment to properly accommodate our growing studio of over 30 young dancers, giving them the tools and space they need to train the right way.
None of this happens without people who believe in the work.

A peak from the wings over the weekend. It was so speacul to perform for “In The Spotlight” @thebackstagefoundation annual showcase! What and inspirational evening of dance and opportunity for our youth and community!
New website! But really, a new chapter.
When Mo’ Motion opened its doors last September, we had 12 dancers; kids who showed up ready to move, ready to learn, ready to be seen. We had a vision, a lot of heart, and honestly, a lot of faith that this community needed what we were building.

Seven months later, we’re at 40 students and still growing! We’ve watched shy four-year-olds find their confidence on the floor. We’ve seen teenagers step into their artistry in ways that take your breath away. AND this year, we launched Mo’ Motion Dance Project, our professional contemporary dance company, because the vision was always bigger than a studio. It was always about building something that lasts.
The old website was built for who we started as. This one was built for who we’re becoming.
