My first little puppy Walter turned 15 and his big little brother Milo turned 5. I can’t believe it. @mcabbs made the special birthday cakes consisting of peanut butter and banana topped with a whipped potato and yogurt frosting finished off with bacon. They got cake crazy and loved it. 🎂 🐕

Bob Baker Marionette Theater in Highland Park is an institution. In an age when small theaters and music venues are continuously closing, they still put on puppet shows weekly for all to see. Continuing with this heat wave, the LA Marathon was really difficult and dangerous due to the temperatures this year. You aren’t thinking about PR times or qualifying for anything on days like this. @mcabbs did get through it running a solid race safely with the conditions. The little buddies showed their support by seeing her off at the start and waiting at the finish line. Most of the race was run in the upper 70s to mid 80s by mid morning. LA. Big 5K run. @mcabbs again got 2nd place in here age group out of the other 256 people in that category. 1st place actually finished 2nd overall for all females. So despite the conditions, she ran a great race again through the hills of the park around the stadium. I ran it slow because I don’t like dust or hot sun. The Santa Ana winds were really strong blowing dust everywhere and the heat was already on us being in the upper 70s early in the morning before the start. #la5k #losangelesmarathon
The heat has been unseasonably warm lately. @mcabbs did get out for the Chinatown Firecracker 10K the day after Milo did his Paw’er race. Fun hilly run from downtown through Elysian park around Dodger stadium, up to Angel’s Point and back. She did awesome and finished 2nd in her division and 12th female overall. Running in 80 degree weather for a fast 10K is not easy! #dtla #firecracker10k #chinatown #chinatownla
