The grand opening for @mnolbc is finally here! All three bars are open and activated—the approachable Apothecary, the tiki-esque Lagoon, and the sexy Hao Peng You Hand Laundry.
The Apothecary is the main bar with refreshing and crushable drinks alongside eats including beef noodle soup, handmade dumplings, popcorn chicken, fried rice, cucumber salad, and dim sum. I legitimately love the beef noodle soup.
Next is the Hand Laundry which is the newest bar—the ceiling is covered with hundreds of paper lanterns and a dragon, the walls are plastered with erotic art, and the furniture is Chinese antique. This spot also has a roster of cocktails that are more involved and eloquent.
Lastly, is the hidden bar, the Lagoon. Tropical. Tiki. One of the drinks is my collab drink—the Kampot Kiss, a daiquiri comprised of lemongrass syrup, rum, lime, and kampot black pepper.
Midnight Oil has quickly become one of the coolest bars in Long Beach. Now that they’ve settled into place—you must return and see them at their final form.
