Recovery is part of the practice.
After the intensity of Jiu Jitsu, the nervous system stays activated, heart rate elevated, mind still “on.” Without proper downregulation, this accumulates as fatigue, slower recovery, and higher injury risk over time.
Yoga Nidra (guided meditation) shifts the body from a sympathetic (fight/flight) state into a parasympathetic (rest/recover) state. In practical terms, this means:
