“For two weeks, six artists will travel to Bordeaux. In their luggage: clothing, a camera, a laptop - the essentials for developing an artistic work within just a few days, which will subsequently be exhibited at ACHTUNG KULTUR! at the German Consulate General. There are no thematic guidelines for the six participating artists. They are unfamiliar with the city and its surroundings. The timeframe for an artistic undertaking is, as already mentioned, limited. Naturally, no one can foresee which impressions and encounters will shape their work on site. Yet this uncertainty is also to be understood as a driving force and, in a sense, a playground without fixed rules, allowing for diverse and individual strategies by the artists from the Photography department. The medium of photography itself serves as the primary tool - though it is a medium whose state of aggregation has long since splintered.”
F. develops the idea of a fictional person who moves - or once moved - through these rooms. This figure functions as an abstract reflection of the residency period in Bordeaux. It emerges from several layers of experience: movements through the city, the temporary life in the apartment, and the production phase within the exhibition spaces. Individual moments and objects offer traces of presence, such as a MacBook, construction materials, or personal belongings. During the exhibition, however, only the absence of this figure remains perceptible, creating a space for reflection that extends beyond individual experience and invites considerations of presence, time, and memory.

neue kunstfreunde ist ein junges Künstler*innenkollektiv aus Offenbach am Main. Gemeinsam wollen wir - Mike, Pierre und Jule - Räume für junge künstlerische Positionen erschließen und neue Perspektiven auf zeitgenössische Kunst eröffnen.
neue kunstfreunde is a young artist collective from Offenbach am Main. Together, we – Mike, Pierre, and Jule – aim to create spaces for emerging artistic voices and offer new perspectives on contemporary art.
Am Wochenende vom 13. - 15. Dezember findet die Benefiz-Ausstellung von @artists.unlimited in Bielefeld statt. Ich bin dort neben weiteren Künstler:innen wie z.B. @lucafinkl auch vertreten und es gibt die Möglichkeit zwei Arbeiten von mir zu erwerben, also kommt gerne vorbei! :-)
