THREE WORDS FOR FOREST
Details and references of selected tree bark.
The trees were created by hand from reclaimed carpet roll tubes and upcycled fabric and scenic cloths.
Me and my assistant Xueting cut, layered, and sewed fabric to replicate different tree barks and pests and diseases, creating abstract and evocative tree structures to be manipulated throughout the length of the play.
I also aided in the creation of a workshop resource to help you to craft your own group tree, which can be viewed, along with the film, on the Three Words for Forest website.
