When women lead, communities rise.
We are still here, growing in different ways. March is National Kidney Month, International Women’s Day, and MLKidney is celebrating 15 years of service.
Without these women, our mission, impact, and community would not be possible. I want to honor the women behind MlKidney who lead, serve, support, and continue to make a difference every day.

Today we honor the hearts behind the healing.
On National Caregivers Day, we celebrate those who support our kidney warriors every single day — spouses, parents, children, friends, and the dedicated medical professionals who walk alongside families through every appointment, treatment, and milestone.
Caregiving requires strength.
It requires sacrifice.
It requires compassion that often goes unseen.
To the dialysis nurses, transplant coordinators, nephrologists, social workers, technicians, and home caregivers — THANK YOU!
To the family members who rearrange schedules, manage medications, offer rides, and provide emotional support, we see you.
Because of you, our kidney warriors are not fighting alone.
Today, we pause to say:
💚 We honor you.
🧡 We appreciate you.
💚 We thank you.

“Faith is taking the first step even when you can’t see the whole staircase.” — Martin Luther King Jr.
For The Marion Luckers Kidney Foundation, this quote reflects our journey. The vision was birthed from love, loss, and lived experience navigating the healthcare system. We took the first step trusting that service, advocacy, and compassion would provide education and awareness. Each scholarship, caregiver initiative, and awareness effort is another step forward to support kidney warriors. 💚

🌟 Meet Kassidy Frevert — Resilience in Action 🌟
We are proud to announce Kassidy Frevert as the 2025–2026 MLKidney Scholarship Recipient, awarded $1,000 in recognition of her perseverance, compassion, and service. 💚
Kassidy is a June 2025 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School and will begin her college journey this spring semester at Harcum College, majoring in Veterinary Nursing 🐾 a dream shaped by her lifelong connection to animals and her powerful kidney journey.
💫 Kassidy’s Story
At just six years old, Kassidy developed hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) after E. coli exposure, leading to kidney failure. After months in the ICU, a year on dialysis, and relearning how to walk, she received her first kidney transplant at age seven. At sixteen, her transplant failed and she returned to dialysis but her spirit never wavered. In November 2025, Kassidy received her second kidney transplant and is doing well, stepping into this next chapter with renewed hope.
