Grateful to be part this event with such an amazing Getty Images Entertainment team. The amount of work behind the scenes to make all of this possible is enormous, to say the least.
While I’m usually behind the camera, I’m lucky to have photographer friends/coworkers who occasionally turn it around on me too.
The first photo is the traditional carpet shot, and it’s definitely not lost on me how cool it is to even have that photo taken.
The second photo is me in my photo spot this year. Even though it’s real, it kind of feels like an AI-generated version of “Mike Coppola at the Met Gala.”

Fun fact: I had to ask most of these athletes what sport they played.
Back in October, I got to photograph some Team USA Winter Olympians. I think they appreciated being seen as subjects, not stars (with the exception of Lindsey Vonn).
Every one of them brought great energy and presence. An incredible group to photograph.

A month ago I photographed three Stranger Things events in a row. As a fan, I looked back and realized I’d photographed a lot of cast members over the years and thought it would be cool to share.
The kids got me into the show during Covid. The storytelling + 80’s nostalgia had me hooked. I usually shoot premieres/events before become a fan, but it worked out this time.

Posting my best in the second half of 2025. I didn’t end up posting much since June and these are some of my favorites during that time with a couple that I forgot earlier in the year.
These pictures are from some fun events, including MTV VMAs, Victoria’s Secret fashion show, Jonas Brothers is on an NYC ferry, Tony awards, Oasis tour reunion, Tribeca festival, Gotham Awards, Stranger Things, and others.
Thankfully, I just figured out a faster way to post so I don’t have to play catchup in 2026.
