🐇 YEAR OF THE RABBIT // Step inside the studio as dancers Mary Kate Edwards and Damian Zamorano bring Justin Peck’s Year of the Rabbit to life.
“Sufjan and I discovered we share the same Chinese zodiac sign,” Peck explains, “the Year of the Rabbit. He created an album of electronic music, entitled Enjoy Your Rabbit, then rewrote it as string quartets. It grew into 13 movements, one for each Chinese zodiac sign, plus one called ‘The Year of the Lord.’”

So excited to debut Dark Angel in Balanchine’s “Serenade” this weekend🪽
It’s hard to pick a #1 favorite ballet, but Serenade could easily be it for me. I remember being a student at @sab_nyc watching old videos of Darci, Maria, and Kyra on repeat and putting off homework to go to the theater anytime NYCB was performing it. This special role has been on my ballet bucket list for so long, and I can’t wait to dance it in West Palm this weekend
