Hii my chapbook of poems, Bottle Episodes, is out with Bottlecap Press. I’ve been working on this collection for a while and it’s about falling in love, simping, swooning, 🔥 in your DMs, and dating, with a lot of TV, Girls, the gay priests in The Exorcist, and other deep cuts too. I’m excited/terrified to be putting this out there, and you can preorder it at the link in bio.
My story, “How to Be a Couple’s Third,” is in this month’s issue of @onestorymag ! One Story has been my favorite journal forever, and I’m beyond excited to be sharing this story. It’s inspired by Lorrie Moore’s “How to Be an Other Woman,” about gay dating, and has spoonerisms, open relationships, and Lana Del Gays. Thank you to @patrickryannyc for taking this on from the slush!
Book people, I’m so excited to share that I’m editor-at-large for books at The Portland Press Herald! I’m going to be editing Q&As with Maine writers and authors whose books are set in or inspired by Maine. If you have or know about a book that fits the bill, I want to hear about it!!
My short story “Why We Broga” is out in the @theiowareview issue on bodies! It’s about a group of brogis who descend into wellness mania and was inspired by Taffy’s profile of Gwyneth. This was also the first thing I ever workshopped in the MFA and I didn’t think it would see the light of day
I’m going on a mini tour for my mini book of poems just in time for cuffing season. In-person events will have books, limited edition simp prints, love fortunes—bring your crush!
