I’m three weeks and two days sober, and I have to tell you that this has been some of the best I’ve felt in years. I’ve lost 13 pounds, my face has slimmed out, I bought a new outfit, and I have more money. I can’t think of a single downside. I’ve even gone to bars and gotten non-alcoholic drinks to chill with friends because, before I discovered alcohol, I was always a social butterfly in the first place, so I don’t really need a social lubricant. If anything, the friends I make and the company I keep have drastically improved. It feels good to know when or if I want to be around somebody, and not have alcohol telling me whether I do or not. I’m happy, and it feels good. Always get help if you need it I promise you won’t regret it.
