Man I still remember when @azeekahmusic came to the stu to lay this record down. Him and his family were going through so much at once. From losing there car, to being attacked by the leaders of their Church and sooo much more. All that pain and raw emotion just came out for this song. There really aren’t to many other songs I’ve got to be a part that can bring me to tears when I listen to them but this is def one of them! It's been a good minute since I've posted on here. Life has been busy and honestly social media just hasn't been a priority for me at all. BUT! My bro @anthoneray recently dropped an album called "Persona" and I wanted to share some of my favorite tracks from the project. The album expresses the complexities of success, importance of faith, family and the realities of being in the music industry. Earlier this year I had the opportunity to mix and master an album for my bro @jonathan.chun
I can honestly say from beginning to end I enjoyed working with him and his creative way of expressing his art and thoughts of living an “Average” life, dealing with expectations of success in school, his personal life, faith in Jesus, music career, being introverted, awkward and so much more which is contrary to the music that is pushed in the mainstream media today. Growing up in the streets and “getting it from the mud” is not something that everyone lives. Some people don’t have a life of struggle. Some have everything they need from the moment they’re born and those people def have a space in the music world too.
