🌷 Ottawa’s most colorful spring experience 🌷 We visited Tulipfest at @saundersfarmfun in collaboration with @otttimes and honestly it felt like stepping into a Dutch countryside postcard 🇳🇱 A lot of tulips, amazing food, cozy spring vibes, and some of the prettiest photo spots in Ottawa. We tried the Amsterdam fries, peach lemonade, and Saunders Farm cider and all of them were incredible. Tulipfest runs until the end of May and the fields keep changing as new tulip varieties bloom throughout the season 🌷✨ 🙎🏽‍♀️ @devsicle 📍 @saundersfarmfun 🤝 @otttimes Shot on Sony A7 IV @sonyalpha #TulipFest #OttawaEvents #SpringInOttawa #SonyAlpha #tulipfestival

Golden sunlight through the trees, A quiet dance with the summer breeze. Footsteps soft on winding trails, Laughter echoing in gentle tales. We walked with no place left to go, Just side by side, moving slow. Sharing secrets, light and deep, The kind of words you always keep. Ice cream melting, fingers sweet, Grass beneath our tired feet. Clouds above in shapes we’d name, Turning silence into a game. Time slipped by, but we didn’t mind, Some moments aren’t meant to be timed. In that park, so simple and true, The world felt right—just me and you. 🌿✨ Poem By - @silsila_lekhikakiudan Shot on Sony A7 IV @sonyalpha #CinematicVideo #ColorGrading #SonyAlpha #SummerVibes #visualstorytelling

These are a few side by side comparisons of how I saw the scene versus how I felt it. RAW images capture what’s there. Clean, honest, untouched. But editing is where the story starts to take shape. Color grading, contrast, and tone let me translate a moment into something more personal. Photography isn’t just about documenting reality. It’s about interpreting it. I had the opportunity to photograph a live performance by the @angelique.francis_music in collaboration with @otttimes , and it was such a different experience from what I usually shoot. Fast lights, constant movement, and trying to capture the energy of the moment in real time. Concert photography is a challenge, but that’s what makes it exciting. Definitely something I want to explore more. The skating season might be over, but I still had to post this. A day skating on the Rideau Canal Skateway, the world’s largest skating rink, just feels like peak Ottawa. Ice skating through the city, cold air, music in the background, and people enjoying winter in their own way. Canadian winters can be brutal, but moments like this make it worth it. Already looking forward to next skating season. Shot on Sony A7 IV @sonyalpha #RideauCanal #Ottawa #WinterVibes #SonyAlpha #canadianwinter

Canadian animation deserves more attention. I had the chance to cover the screening of Space Cadet in collaboration with @otttimes , and it was a great reminder of how much creativity and passion exists in independent Canadian filmmaking. Space Cadet is an indie animated film created by an incredibly talented team, and projects like this only thrive when people show up to support them. If you care about animation, storytelling, or independent film, this is exactly the kind of work worth championing. Huge credit to the creators and team behind it: @entractfilms @lesfilmsopale @realkidkoala #CanadianAnimation #IndieAnimation #AnimatedFilm #SupportIndieFilm #animationcommunity

Photographing the Alphabet in the City | Part 2 The second half of my alphabet photography challenge. Every letter in this series was found naturally while walking through the city. Some come from architecture, others from street details and unexpected shapes hiding in plain sight. Projects like this remind me that photography is often about observation more than anything else. Part 2 of the series. Shot on Sony A7 IV @sonyalpha #AlphabetPhotography #UrbanTypography #StreetPhotography #SonyAlpha #cityphotography

Photographing the Alphabet in the City | Part 1 I challenged myself to find every letter of the alphabet hidden in the city and photograph it. Once you start looking, letters begin appearing everywhere. Architecture, railings, street signs, shadows, and random details suddenly start forming typography in the urban landscape. This project completely changed how I see street photography. The city is full of hidden shapes and patterns if you slow down enough to notice them. Part 1 of the alphabet photography series. These were shot at Montmorency Falls during peak winter while ice climbers were scaling the frozen wall. I intentionally framed the shots to cut off the top of the falls so the scale feels overwhelming, almost like Antarctica or something you would see in a @natgeo documentary. I wanted the climbers to look small against the ice, like tiny figures challenging something massive. Winter in Quebec just hits different. Barbegazi in Ottawa was insane. Snowmobiles flying through the air, engines roaring, the crowd going crazy. Instead of chasing the obvious action shots, I wanted to capture the tension, the scale, and the energy surrounding the stunts. Sometimes the best way to document chaos is to focus on the moments around it. 📍 Barbegazi at ByWard Market Shoutout to @barbegazifest and @bywardmarket for together this insane show. I was told you can’t post Christmas in Quebec photos in February. I disagree. These were taken during the holidays in Quebec, where the lights, snow, and old streets make everything feel timeless. Sometimes a moment is too good to be boxed into a season. If it still makes you feel something, it deserves to be shared. @sonyalpha #SonyAlpha #BeAlpha #Quebec #ChristmasVibes #winteraesthetic

Souls of Ottawa 🇨🇦 7/10 - Ross I noticed Ross while walking by on a snowy day as he was shoveling his driveway. Something about him felt peaceful, like he was completely present in the moment, so I decided to approach him and strike up a conversation. Ross was genuinely fun to talk to. We ended up chatting for about ten minutes about life, the neighborhood, and the rhythm of winter days. Unfortunately, parts of the video glitched, so I was only able to save a few minutes of our conversation. Still, I’m grateful for the moment we shared. Encounters like this are what make this project feel so meaningful. #SoulsOfOttawa #StreetPhotography #PortraitPhotography #HumanStories #ottawa
